Chicago Bears Will Roar Again This Year
Not since their Super Bowl has so much excitement been in Chicago
for a football season. Hiring a new coach Lovie Smith who is known for
his defense, hopes to change the Bears
fortunes. Lovie Smith brings an attitude that the young Bear players
should love.
The Bears will
be lead by a defense that is pretty good. They are led by Brian
Urlacher their middle linebacker who is the heart and soul of their
defense. With new coach Lovie Smith the defense can only get better.
The offense will be led by quarterback Rex Grossman. If Rex struggles
then draft pick from Ohio State Craig Krenzel will fill in nicely.
Update:
The backup QB in Chicago changes faster than I can update this page!
This year the Bears ground gain gets an added boost with the free
agent signing of Thomas Jones from Tampa Bay. Thomas brings breakaway
speed just like the late Walter Payton had and should help out a lot.
But in the end its going to come down to the Bears are a very young
team. Will they buy into Lovie Smith new system? Or will they be the
old Bears? I guess only time will tell. But with
Lovie Smith run the program you do know they will compete hard. So you
never know.
The Bears have some tough competition in their division with the Vikings and Green Bay with one of the best quarterbacks
of all time Brett Farve.
Who knows we may be seeing the team do the "Super Bowl Shuffle"
again in the near
future. Although perhaps once was enough of that. Proving the point
that guys in football jerseys can't dance.
