College Football Oklahoma vs. USC The Battle
of the Titans

For two years the college football world has
talked about it. The Oklahoma Sooners versus the USC Trojans. Now it
is a reality. This January both teams will play for the College
Football Championship. Both have taken different paths to reach their
ultimate goal.
USC started at the pre-season number 1 college football team and
Oklahoma wasn't far behind. Both teams ran into a few tough games but
made it unblemished. Of course fans everywhere have their opinion of
who is better Oklahoma or USC.
Oklahoma is led by two Heisman trophy candidate's Quarterback Jason
White and running back Adrian Peterson. While USC is led by two
Heisman Trophy winners Matt Leinart and Reggie Bush. Only one of
the four will be able to take it home.
Both teams have a lot at stake. By just participating in the game each
school receives between 11-14 million dollars for playing the game.
This doesn't include all the sales they will make from college
merchandise sales of shirts jerseys hats and anything else that has to
do with their team.
Both teams have a perfect record at 12-0 and 9-0 in conference play.
It was USC's fifth perfect season and Oklahoma's 3rd appearance in the
last five championship games. Oklahoma has a 65-11 record under coach
Bob Stoops.
Pete Carroll is a former NFL coach who has turned around USC, winning
a co-championship last year with LSU. Pete Carroll's record at USC is
41-9. His career as seen an emergence since coming from the NFL.
This should be one of the best games of the year. You have two teams
ranked 1 and 2 all year long. So we have the best two teams all year
long battling for the championship. Just like it should be.
Who will win is anybody's guess. The real winners will be college
football fans. They will get to enjoy to power houses fight it out.
The stadium will be filled with fans wearing USC merchandise as well
as Oklahoma apparel I
