Fantasy Baseball it is not just a game
anymore
Everyone is playing fantasy baseball. From
young to old fantasy baseball is a hit. The game combines the best of
both worlds. You get to field your own baseball team and compete
against your friends. You can play it for money or just for bragging
rights. What could be better than this.
Fantasy baseball was first introduced in the 80's. But it didn't take
off right away. Fantasy baseball had one minor problem no real service
had the baseball stats you need to run a fun league. That would change
in the mid 80's when ESPN came along.
Espn made stats more readily available. Thus free fantasy leagues
everywhere grew by leaps and bounds. Other sports networks would start
reporting stats to which only help to fuel the popularity of fantasy
baseball but of fantasy football and all fantasy sports.
Even today's video games use stats to base their sports games on.
Fantasy baseball is still the king of fantasy games though. Fantasy
baseball has changed over the years too. Gone are the thrills of
beating your brother, friend or neighbor.
It has been replaced with big jackpots and prizes. Another thing that
recently has help propel fantasy baseball into the forefront is the
resurgence of baseball. Websites now are designed just for fantasy
leagues. You can even subscribe to a fantasy service that will help
you build your own team. You can join a fantasy league at yahoo and
get some fantasy cheat sheets to help you.
Fantasy baseball is fun and a blast to play. Where can you play
something for free and actually win prizes. Some leagues charge a fee.
But there are still plenty that don't so put your team together and
see where it takes you. I know where it takes me to a lot fun.
