Montreal Expos Gift - A New Beginning For a
New Baseball Team
by Kenny Watkins of http://www.sports-gift.com
Montreal Expos started playing in 1969. No
one thought they would succeed across the border but they did. Andre
Dawson was a rookie of the year for the Expos in 1977. In 1981 they
won their first divisional title.
Some other accomplishments were Pedro Martinez winning a CY young
award for the Expos. Then there was Bill "Spaceman" Lee. He got the
name from weird things he did.
Unfortunately for Expos fans the franchise
was sold and will play 2005 in Washington D.C. with a new name "the
Nationals"
Gift items for the Montreal Expos will be hard to find soon as they
will be changing to the Washington franchise. Replica jerseys are one
very popular item in away and home colors. T-shirts are another must
have for Expos fans.
Memorabilia items are a great gift. An Andre Dawson autograph ball
will make a great addition to any collection. He's a future Hall of
Famer. An engraved wooden baseball on a base is another unique item
that people love.
If you have friends over to play cards we have something for you. Get
an Expos card table and add a few chairs with it and you are all set
for that card party. If darts are your game them you will hit your
mark with an Expos dartboard with darts included.
Calendars are an affordable way to keep track of appointments and a
great way to support the Expos.
Bedding is another popular item. Expos
blankets are a great way to keep warm on those cold nights.
Expos gift items will go fast so get them now.
